Ben (he/him) co-founder/educator has decades of experience teaching children from ages 2 - 18 and was a certified elementary, middle school, and high school science teacher for 15 years where he created educational gardens and a deep ecology curriculum in several public schools and also as a science teacher at the Firelight Academy for Homeschoolers. Ben enjoyed several years as a preschool teacher at Unity Preschool and nothing gives home greater joy than the delight of children learning and playing in the garden. He has traveled the world as a teacher and trained wilderness guide with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and is currently completing his Masters in Plant Ecology.
Ben loves teaching. He has a gift of sharing what he's learned about the natural world with children and helping them experience a deeper connection to that world. Ben is certified in Permaculture Design and he is committed to living a regenerative lifestyle. He is a prolific organic gardener and loves to feed his friends and family with lots of home grown veggies.
